Skirts

A full chainmail shirt like a Haubergeon or Hauberk was less and less required with the upcoming of plate armour. Only those parts were still covered by maille which couldn`t be protected by plates. The chain mail skirt was attached directly to the Gambeson to cover the loins and upper legs. With the introduction of the codpiece chain mail skirts came out of use.
