Breastplate is a part of the plate armour which protects the front part of the body. Milanese breastplate by GDFB is a functional armour used as protection during reenactment. They are constructed of 14 gauge and 16 gauge metal.
During the Middleages,
Breastplates were made of variety of metals like Steel, Iron, bronze and
leather straps to fasten to the body.
